According to a report by L.A Weekly, James Rosemond was finally found this morning after nearly a month of evading the authorities.
After a short foot chase near Park Ave and 21st Street he was handcuffed and taken by police. He is believed to have been hiding out at the W Hotel, close to his point of eventual capture.
The Czar Entertainment CEO and manager of ‘The Game’ has been charged for his alleged involvement in a Cocaine distribution network. It is reported that the drugs ring were responsible for ferrying hundreds of kilos of Cocaine from LA to New York using packages sent via FedEx and UPS since 2008.
The allegations are backed up by evidence from two LA informants, wire taps and other evidence including documents.
Last week, convicted murderer and former associate of Rosemond, Dexter Issac, admitted that he had been paid $2,500 by the Czar Entertainment CEO to rob Tupac Shakur at New Yorks Quad Studios in 1994. During the robbery, Tupac was shot five times and this sparked the infamous war between him and The Notorious B.I.G. with Tupac believing that Biggie had orchestrated the attack.
It is yet unknown whether the statement given by Issac is true but New York police are currently investigating.
Police also have reason to believe that Rosemond funded the murder of G-Unit associate Lowell Fletcher in 2009 in retaliation to an attack on his son in 2007. No charges have been filed.
