Update: Nate Dogg Funeral To Be Held This Weekend.

The great Nate Dogg will be laid to rest this weekend with his funeral service being held on Saturday 26th March at Long Beach Cruise Terminal. Before the ceremony there will be a chance for loved ones and friends alike to pay their final respects at a viewing at New Hope Baptist Church in Long Beach. Naturally the funeral service and viewing will be on a limited access basis but fans of Nate Dogg will have a chance pay their respects at 7pm on Saturday at the Cruise Terminal, all public are welcome, but will include tight security measures and a ban on all cameras.

Nate Dogg’s attorney Mark Geragos has released an official statement confirming that Nate Dogg died of complications of which arose from a series of strokes.

Nate Dogg’s friend and manager Rod McGrew  also acknowledged the fantastic fan support that has been pouring in , “We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support. We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friends 2Pac and Biggie.

Detroit Megastar Eminem is the latest in a long line of musical stars to express his great sadness at the passing of Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, better known by his stage name “Nate Dogg”.

Eminem appeared along side Nate Dogg and his distinctive recording voice on numerous occasions including one of Eminem’s biggest tracks ‘ Till I Collapse’ .

 

 

Speaking to E! Online Eminem said:

“Nate’s voice in music will never be replaced. He helped create the blueprint for West Coast hip-hop, and I was one of the lucky people who had the privilege to work with him and the honor to have him as a friend, Nate will be sorely missed. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.”

Although no cause of death has been officially announced, it is widely believed that the music legend died of natural causes as a result of his weakened condition caused by suffering 2 strokes in 2007 and 2008 .

It is reported that funeral and memorial arrangements could be put in place as early as tomorrow.
