Following the blistering start ‘Recovery’ made on it’s June 22nd release, the sensational album by Detroit Megastar Eminem, has shown no signs of slowing down, as it flew past the platinum mark last week and has now shifted 1,308,494 units in total, at the last count this week.

These figures have seen Eminem hit the number one spot on the sales chart again for a third week.

The Detroit comeback star is expected to go platinum once again with his latest album ‘Recovery’, after the album has remained top of both American and UK charts for a second week, moving in excess of 700,ooo units already in the first week.  It is expected that Eminem will boost the final section of sales in the US, which will see the numbers soar over the 1,000,000 mark yet again.

Eminem currently has various parts of the album on the charts lists at the moment, with the single ‘Love the way you lie’ feat Rihanna currently enjoying success on the Billboard’s chart and on constant airplay, things are looking all good again for the Detroit Star.

Despite his best efforts to keep the forthcoming ‘Recovery’ album under wraps, Eminem has become the latest victim of a leak of his entire album.

For many weeks Eminem forums have been overloaded with fans eager to discover when the latest offering would leak after ‘Relapse’ was on the internet a week before its release. Up until recently however such fans and enthusiasts have been hit with a blanket of silence and it felt so tightly guarded that it would not be with us until the release date.

However following the June 5th release of the official video and single of ‘Not Afraid’, it now appears that the full album has become available online in the last 2 days. Yesterday one or 2 tracks began circling the internet and unsurprisingly before long the entire album was being flown around the internet at the speed of light.

Speaking in 2009 about the frustration of leaked tracks Eminem stated “It’s like someone catches you peeping in your window before you got the Spider Man costume all zipped up,”

Recovery is still set for a June 22nd release, so for all the true fans who still buy music its going to be a tough wait as the unofficial reviews of the album are reporting the return of Eminem in a big way !

The Uk visit of Eminem’s European Promotional push Saw Eminem Stop by the Jonathan Ross show on Friday night .

During a fly by promotional run in Europe, Eminem stopped by Sky rock radio in Paris, and for the first time explained his choices of featured artists appearing on the album.

Firstly Eminem spoke on the only other rapper to grace the Album Lil Wayne and had nothing but praise for the currently incarcerated star,

“I’ve always respected what Wayne does. Wayne to me is definitely one of the greatest in the game right now.”

With Eminem and Lil Wayne coming together on Wayne’s ‘Drop the world’ and Drake’s ‘ ‘Forever’, this decision to include the New Orleans megastar was perhaps not as surprising as the inclusions of Rhianna and Pink on the new album, with both feeling the sharp edge of Slim Shady’s tongue in the past, but speaking on these inclusions Eminem stated,

“Love The Way You Lie” is “one of those tracks that I felt like only Rihanna could pull it off.” he said, and speaking on Pink  Eminem stated that her part on the track was only added once the track “Won’t Back Down” was completed,

“I laid my parts first and kinda heard her on the record,” he stated. “I felt like she would smash this record, so I gave her a call and she was with it, so we did it.”

Recovery is set for a June 22nd release.

Following the recent revelation of the artwork which has been previewed for the upcoming Eminem album ‘Recovery’, a further morsel of information has been thrown from the table of Slim Shady, to keep us hungry, as the final tracklist has finally been revealed.

The track list shows a cosmopolitan mix of names starring on tracks beside him, and the most notable point is that only one other rapper has been included in the entire tracklist, and that is Lil Wayne, who has recently featured alongside Mr Mathers on ‘Drop The World’ And Drake’s ‘Forever’. Although the list of rappers featuring on the album is limited to the notorious Lil Wayne, it can hardly be seen as a suprise that D12 are nowhere to be seen, as their vacancy has become a familiar sight, with their last inclusion being on Eminem’s 2004 ‘Encore’ album, however the list of singers involved may give some idea as to how the album will be structured. The most notable inclusions see Rihanna and Pink involved, both of which have heard their names in the Detroit rappers lyrics in the past.

Fans looking forward to Detroit star Eminem’s forthcoming album ‘Recovery’ , have been thrown a teaser, which is sure to keep fans buzzing over the rap star’s upcoming release.

Two pieces of artwork have been revealed, the first shows Eminem walking in solitude down an apparent lonely road, whilst the other shows Slim Shady sat in a glass box in front of the symbolic skyscrapers of corporate America, reading a book.

The album ‘Recovery’ is due for release June 22nd.

On Wednesday night from the comfort of a private box at Detroit’s Comercia Park, Eminem and Jay-Z accompanied by Eminem’s long term friend Royce Da 5′9″, took the opportunity in the 4th inning to announce that they would be using the American Baseball stage to wage a more personal agenda. The pair announced to ESPN that a double header of concert dates were in the pipeline.

On the 2nd September and the 13th September the pair will appear together. Jay-Z will open for Eminem in Detroit and then Eminem in return will open for Jay-Z in New York .

The prospect of such events have not only got Hip Hop fans buzzing about the dates in question, but also has began a frenzy of speculation that the pair will again collaborate as they did back in 2001 with ‘Renegade’. However Jay-Z was very quick to dismiss any rumors, stating that music must come naturally. This by no means sends a message that they won’t work together again, but merely suggests that the pair will not collaborate again just for the sake of it, but only if the right instance calls for it.

Fans were held at bay by police on Wednesday as the Detroit star shot the video for his latest single ‘Not Afraid’.

Eminem took to the popular Market Street, New Jersey alongside long time friend Royce da 5′9″.

A strong security presence and police barricade held off hoards of fans as they turned out to support the star and some attempting to slip the superstar their own demos!

Dressed all in black Eminem walked up Market Street as he was filmed by cameras. Eminem waved at the fans from across the street to attempt to calm the melee surrounding the shoot. The streets were blocked off well into the afternoon as the video shoot took place.

It is thought that Eminem chose the street in New Jersey as it was a lower profile location opposed to neighboring New York City.

It is thus far unclear as to when the video will be released , but the album itself ‘Recovery’ is due to be released on June 22nd .
