New York DJ and TV personality DJ Megatron was shot and fatally wounded in the early hours of yesterday morning (sun 27th March), whilst on his way to a store near his home in New York’s Staten Island.
Police say he was found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest, and no arrests have been made.
DJ Megatron was well known for his work in the Hip Hop Community and his dedication towards upcoming artists and was most well known for his work on B.E.T’s 106 & Park show.
A number of stars have come forward to pay their respects to DJ Megatron including Nicki Minaj who expressed her condolences via Twitter,

No information has been released so far regarding an motives for the shooting and police are yet to make an arrest. We will update as soon as any further information becomes available.
