50 Cent Speaks On Serious Weight Loss

Posted by Tom On May - 31 - 2010

Rap giant 50 Cent has explained the vigorous process he undertook to lose a serious amount of weight for his latest film role.

50 Cent claimed that it was ‘ a lot tougher this time’  when comparing the fact he could only drink liquids to when he undertook the same ordeal after being shot 9 times back in 2000.

The rapper undertook the task, to prepare himself for his latest role, which portrays a football player with cancer, and speaking on the subject stated  ”I had to discipline myself not … to actually have myself be in the physical state to convey the energy I felt. It’s a passion project for me,”

50 had to take his body weight down from a sizeable 214 to 160 lbs, this he admitted was a tough task and 50 states that he took inspiration from other successful actors such as Christian Bale and Tom Hanks who have been known for their commitment to their roles by altering their weight, and researched interviews online by such figures, “When it started getting difficult, I was looking to see what their experience was like and I got a chance to see all of the interviews they had at different time periods when they were doing promotion for the projects.”

Recovery Track List Revealed.

Posted by Tom On May - 28 - 2010

Following the recent revelation of the artwork which has been previewed for the upcoming Eminem album ‘Recovery’, a further morsel of information has been thrown from the table of Slim Shady, to keep us hungry, as the final tracklist has finally been revealed.

The track list shows a cosmopolitan mix of names starring on tracks beside him, and the most notable point is that only one other rapper has been included in the entire tracklist, and that is Lil Wayne, who has recently featured alongside Mr Mathers on ‘Drop The World’ And Drake’s ‘Forever’. Although the list of rappers featuring on the album is limited to the notorious Lil Wayne, it can hardly be seen as a suprise that D12 are nowhere to be seen, as their vacancy has become a familiar sight, with their last inclusion being on Eminem’s 2004 ‘Encore’ album, however the list of singers involved may give some idea as to how the album will be structured. The most notable inclusions see Rihanna and Pink involved, both of which have heard their names in the Detroit rappers lyrics in the past.

The track list is reported as follows:

1. COLD WIND BLOWS
2. TALKIN’ 2 MYSELF FEAT. KOBE
3. ON FIRE
4. WON’T BACK DOWN FEAT. P!NK
5. W.T.P.
6. GOING THROUGH CHANGES
7. NOT AFRAID
8. SEDUCTION
9. NO LOVE FEAT. LIL WAYNE
10. SPACE BOUND
11. CINDERELLA MAN
12. 25 TO LIFE
13. SO BAD
14. ALMOST FAMOUS
15. LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE FEAT. RIHANNA
16. YOU’RE NEVER OVER.

In recent times we have become accustomed to associating the name Rick Ross ( real name William Leonard Roberts II) with the rapper who has been in and out of the media with his very public feuds with 50 Cent and a recent flow of new music on offer.

However the real Rick Ross appears to have had enough of hearing his name used to personify a rapper and wants his identity back !!!!

The real Rick Ross rose to infamy in the 1980’s as he oversaw a Cocaine operation which saw thousands of workers doing his bidding and selling millions of dollars worth of Cocaine on a daily basis.

In 1996 Rick Ross was sentenced to life in prison after he was caught attempting to purchase over 100 Kilograms of Cocaine, which incidentally saw him spend 10 years in prison until his release in 2006. Upon release Rick Ross has begun the attempt to reclaim his name.

The ex drug trafficker claims to have sent numerous cease and desist letters to Def Jam in protest of the use of his name but these were subsequently ignored.

Reports from AllHipHop.com have stated that the lawsuit in which Rick Ross will be filing, is set to outline how Rapper Ross signed a multi-million dollar deal based on the image and likeness, and has since used the name to promote himself within the real Rick Ross drug dealer image within the black community. It has been reported that Rick Ross will be suing Def Jam, Universal and rapper William Leonard Roberts II.

We will update should any further information become available.

A new i-phone app has given music lovers a chance to access entire music catalogues for as little as $1.99.

The new app has been recently released offering i-phone users the chance to access images of 50 Cent as well as his entire music catalogue for only $1.99.

This has left many music fans worried about copyright infringements and possible repercussions of using such a service, however the WebTechie’s disclaimer states that no fans should be worried about using the app and that it is 100% legal,

‘Kindly note that all the due royalties for this application are timely paid to proper authorities (regarding song broadcasts). If you are a label, song writer, copyright owner or a singer, please feel free to contact us for any kind of information and we will be happy to assist you with complete details regarding the song broadcast rights. All trademarks are owned by their respective owners. This application is not endorsed by Curtis Jackson, 50 Cent or his affiliates.’

As well as 50 Cent this service has also been created for fans of Snoop Dogg and Akon who’s entire song collections can also be purchased through the App for $3.99 and $1.99 respectively.

This App is the latest introduction in an age  that has seen the sale of hard copies on such format as CD become almost as extinct as the tape, with many artists previously expressing their concerns at how they have taken a financial hit in royalties and sales with the wide introduction of mp3 and download sites, and may leave many questioning whether this expansion of the mp3 download era is set to make the music industry even less lucrative for artists and in particular less established artists.
