HAKA Presents ‘Underground Journeys’

HAKA Presents

‘Underground Journeys’

(Downtown Soul Records)

London producer Haka first made a name for himself making beats with the likes of Logic (PDC), Lowkey (Poisonous Poets) and Mic Assassin (Elite Team). In 2007 Haka then began working with singer Kalldean from the legendary UK rap group So Solid Crew, as well as talents such as Big Cakes, Nathan Adams & DVS. A year later, in 2008 Haka decided it was time to create his production debut which involved all of the best artists he had worked with since 2006. This would be the birth of the nineteen track project known as Underground Journeys, one of 2009’s most cutting-edge home-grown releases.

The genre of the CD is mainly Hip Hop with R&B and alternative elements. Haka’s aim was not to solely focus on one theme, like most artists & producers, but to attack the project with an open mind and not restrict himself to a certain style throughout the album. Hence, Haka has put together a variety of Hip-Hop themes for this project, which range from the more street sound right over to the more conscious and heart felt vibe.

Dubbledge is back with a new project entitled ‘One Inch Punch’. This pre-album mixtape sees Dubbledge pay homage to the golden era of rap as he takes us back to the early nineties with beats jacked from Method Man, Black Moon, Dr Dre and Snoop, Group Home, Raekwon, Jeru Da Damaja and many more. Ross – We buried 50 “R.I.P”

Posted by Tom On November - 28 - 2009

Rick RossAfter confirmation of 50 Cent’s all time low record sales were made official this week, Rick Ross wasted no time claiming 50’s poor sales as a victory.

No secret whatsoever has been made of the long standing feud between the 2 and Ross must have thought christmas had come early when 50’s disappointing sales were confirmed after the  project sales  of 50’s album ‘before i self destruct’ were set at an all time low for the G-Unit CEO. Sales from the first week came in just 1000 copies over the projected figure at 161,000.

Ross speaking at a concert for DJ Khalid’s birthday took full credit for the diminishing sales figures  stating “So we celebrating my n***a birthday, but we’re also celebrating the demise of a p***y. R.I.P. to the donkey, we buried him,” Ross announced  on stage with Khaled. “It feel good, n***a. Don’t look surprised, you knew we was gonna do it. There’s only one record that can describe the feeling.”

The 2 have been feuding over a sequence of events, sparked by 50 Cent’s relationship with his son’s mother Tia Kemp.
