Following the blistering start ‘Recovery’ made on it’s June 22nd release, the sensational album by Detroit Megastar Eminem, has shown no signs of slowing down, as it flew past the platinum mark last week and has now shifted 1,308,494 units in total, at the last count this week.

These figures have seen Eminem hit the number one spot on the sales chart again for a third week.

For the Lil Wayne fans currently in despair at the New Orleans rappers current incarceration and the seemingly endless wait for the fourth release in the ‘Carter’ series, there has been a ray of light shone upon them from Young Money CEO and co-manager to Lil Wanyne Cortez Bryant.

According to Bryant he will be releasing an EP of all new Wayne Material which will be under the expected title of ‘ I’m not a human being’, which will drop on Wayne’ s birthday.

Reports from Vibe, show Bryant confirming this,

“I’m putting out a [Wayne] album called I’m Not A Human Being and I’ll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27″, Bryant states. But Bryant has also made it clear that it will be up to the fans to keep tabs on the situation as there will be no promotional push for the album and initially it won’t even be on hard copy until christmas, “We not about to roll out no three month set up,” Bryant explains. “I’m not even putting it out in stores. We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give ‘em a hard copy later for fan appreciation.”

The Detroit comeback star is expected to go platinum once again with his latest album ‘Recovery’, after the album has remained top of both American and UK charts for a second week, moving in excess of 700,ooo units already in the first week.  It is expected that Eminem will boost the final section of sales in the US, which will see the numbers soar over the 1,000,000 mark yet again.

Eminem currently has various parts of the album on the charts lists at the moment, with the single ‘Love the way you lie’ feat Rihanna currently enjoying success on the Billboard’s chart and on constant airplay, things are looking all good again for the Detroit Star.

The G-Unit millionaire that is 50 Cent celebrated his birthday and according to reports he was planning on taking it easy, and taking the chance to relax and spend out on those closest to him.

The rapper is preparing to tour Brazil and stated that he would be using his birthday as an opportunity to relax and do something nice for other people and his Grandparents in particular.

“It’s more fun for me to just not have to do anything and turn the phone off,” 50 explained to DJ Whoo Kid on G-Unit Radio. “When my birthday comes, instead of buying stuff for myself, I’ll buy stuff for them and wait until the occasion comes to give it to them.”

Over recent years 50 Cent has not only become very wealthy through his own music career but has become known as a very successful businessman, earning him millions. Most noticeable with the success of his G-Unit label, G-Unit radio, G-Unit clothing and his stake in Vitaminwater which is reported to have earned him around $100 Million when Coca Cola purchased the company in 2007.

When speaking on the luxuries and material things in life 50 Cent stated,

“I got what I want, when you achieve more than you anticipate and if you’re blessed with having a long enough career, you’ll get over a lot of different things. And I think we are all conditioned to want things we don’t need. After you acquire them and you get comfortable with them, you realize, you never really needed that stuff.”

Canadian rap star Drake has announced that he has cancelled his European tour dates due to a family emergency.

Allhiphop.com  reports that the cancellations arose due to a problem with his mother, who needed surgery and therefore made the cancellations unavoidable.

“Despite my best hopes, it is apparent that my mother will need surgery earlier than anticipated. In light of this news, I have made the difficult decision to cancel my European tour in order to support her during her recovery, just as she supported me through the years,” Drake said in a statement. “I cannot thank my European fans enough and look forward to performing abroad soon. I ask everyone to please respect my family’s privacy during this time.”

However Drake has not left his European fans high and dry as he has tentatively rescheduled his Paris,Amsterdam and London shows for November this year, and has stated that tickets bought will be honoured for the rescheduled events.

In a world which seems to constantly sees our rap star’s embroiled in lawsuits for one reason or another, the pendulum has now swung towards one Kanye West as he has come under fire over his 2007 hit ‘Stranger’.

The lawsuit was filed by Songwriter/producer Vincent “Vince P.” Peters, who claims that he played the song to John Monopoly who is heavily linked with Kanye West through business and management back in 2006 at his home.

Peters then goes on to claim that around 7 months after a copy was given to Monopoly, Kanye  West went on to record his own version of the song, in which he claims West used “significant parts” of the song.

Peters is understandably upset after the song ‘Stranger’ has sold over 3 million copies worldwide to date, and according to Allhiphop.com it is the 16th most downloaded song of all time on i-tunes.

Peters is set to be seeking an undisclosed sum for damages.

Recent reports have emerged stating that a lawsuit has been filed against Compton rapper Game after the claimant company have claimed that they have been cut out of royalties after signing the Compton star.

The Hollywood Reporter has stated that Desperado Entertainment is looking to stop the R.E.D Album in it’s tracks, making an August 24th release date tentative to say the least.

The filed lawsuit states that Game and his associates are being paid vast sums in royalties but they have not received their cut

Lawyers working with Desperado have also made accusations against UMG stating that they have attempted to work with UMG to resolve the situation but had no results.

The lawsuit filed by Desperado Entertainment is threatening to be a major spanner in the works for Game after Desperado are set to seek damages, an injunction and an immediate advanced payment of $275,000 for the R.E.D Album.

According to sources from AllHipHop.com the recent leak of his forthcoming track ‘Under Pressure’ from the up and coming Detox album is unmastered and unfinished,and has stated that fans should wait untill it is ready and then they will hear the finished copy directly from The Doc himself.

The current leaked version is said to be just over 2 mins in length and sees the use of Kraftwerks ‘Trans Euro Express’ sample, but has no chorus at present and sees 2 verses from Dre and one from Jay-z.

Speaking on his Interscopes official website Dre states,

“I want to set the record straight for everybody who’s been waiting to hear my music, the song that’s on the internet is an incomplete song that I’m still working on. When it’s ready, you’ll be hearing it from me.

Back in April Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine confirmed that the track would be the title track on the ‘Detox’ Album.

This isn’t the first time that The Doc has suffered from such problems with leaks, after 2009 saw tracks with Nas and T.I leak onto the internet even before Dre himself had added any Vocals.

‘Detox’ is still due to be released this year but this appears far from concrete.

Toronto rapper Drake saw his highly anticipated New York performance shut down by the New York Police Department this week.

According to reports from AllHipHop.com the show was cancelled due to the sheer numbers of fans that attended the event.

Drake was due to perform during Paper’s sounds like paper concert series, but the numbers made the event almost impossible. AllHipHop.com’s sources stated “It was just too many people Over 15,000 people and it was just too unmanageable.”

Drake was due to kick the event off from 6:00 – 9:00 pm, but the crowd size began to grow to huge proportions shortly after the start, due to the free appearance of the Toronto star, which then saw the NYPD close the event down due to safety concerns.

“I am humbled by the crowd that showed up in support of my performance and the release of Thank Me Later,” Drake told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive statement. “I love performing for my fans but unfortunately the show was canceled by the NYPD due to over crowding, leaving me without the chance to give my fans a real show.”

According to sources from AllHipHop.com, Niki Minaj is being sued by Hollywood Exotic Car Rental for damages and unpaid rental charges, for a pink Lamborghini of which she hired for 3 days.

The lawsuit filed, reportedly states that the vehicle was returned with $11,589.41 worth of damages incurred during the video shoot.

Hollywood Exotic Car Rental is now suing the Young Money rapper for property damage and unpaid rental charges.

The video for ‘Massive Attack’, the single in which the Lamborghini was hired for is the first single from Niki Minaj’s major Label debut.
