The Finebeats Industry Breakdown – Part One – Studios
Lately we have decided to take a slightly more pro active approach to our mission of preserving and building on the U.K Hip Hop Scene.
After speaking with numerous Hip Hop artists and fans alike, about the current upcoming Hip Hop Scene, the general consensus amongst most of them was that the first step is the hardest.
We have decided, with a little professional help to put together a series of articles which are designed to help make this first step a little less daunting.
The first topic we wanted to cover was the general production/recording process and perhaps the first time an aspiring artist sets foot in a professional studio.
In order to present the best information possible, we decided to get a little professional help and advice on the matter.

We went to see Patrick Jonsson, who is a composer and Head Engineer for Ignition studios in London, who record for a hugely impressive array of clients, from the film and video game industry to the likes of G-Unit in the Hip Hop world. We went seeking some advice for a new artist taking to the studio.
After a quick tour of the Ignition Studios and their impressive array of equipment, we sat down with Patrick and a cup of coffee to try and establish a good guidance path for aspiring artists.
